About MotifSmith

MotifSmith turns images, words and hand-drawn designs into crochet charts you can actually follow: a clear grid, row-by-row stitch counts, and an estimate of how much yarn you'll need.

How the charts are made

Charts come from a color-matching algorithm, not generative AI. It runs in your browser, so your image stays on your device, and the same image and settings always give the same chart.

What it costs

Making and following patterns online is free. A clean PDF costs one credit, or it's free if you publish your design to the gallery, up to three times per account. See pricing.
