Publishing Rules

The gallery works when people can trust what's in it. When you publish a pattern, it's public. Checking the box when you publish means you agree to these rules and take responsibility for what you share.

Don't publish

• Images of other people without their permission, or of children
• Copyrighted or trademarked material you don't have rights to, such as characters, logos and other people's artwork or patterns
• Sexual, hateful, violent or harassing content
• Private information, such as addresses or phone numbers
• Spam or anything illegal

Reporting

Use Report on any pattern page, or email support@motifsmith.com. Patterns reported by several people are hidden automatically until we review them.

Copyright complaints

If you believe a pattern infringes your rights, email support@motifsmith.com with the pattern's link, what work it infringes, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized and that your notice is accurate. We remove infringing material when notified.

What we may do

We can remove patterns and suspend accounts that break these rules. If you think we made a mistake, email us and we'll take another look.
